Precise control and monitoring of the onboard systems allowing you to sit back and enjoy the ride!
Whether you are gently cruising along the coast or punching into a head sea, having full control over the vessel and to be able to monitor how the systems are performing from the protection of the helm position is vital.
Every Hardy we build is ‘Designed for Comfort, Built for the Sea’.
We offer bespoke interiors on all our range of motor yachts, working closely with the client to achieve their individual style, everything from interior joinery species and upholstery, through to lighting, fixtures and fittings. Alternative layouts are also available to suit cruising requirements with family and friends. The images are from Hardy 65 ‘Maresia’ which can be viewed here as an example of our work.

The early years transporting to the sea
Everyone here at the Hardy yard is saddened to learn of the passing of Colin Mudie RDI CEng FRINA FCSD – designer of the early Hardy range when the company was founded in 1976. Initially small motor-sailers but soon followed by the ever-popular models such as the Family Pilot 20, Fishing 20, 24 & 27 with their distinctive rope fendering on a wide blue hull stripe. Close to 4,000 boats of his design were launched during his era with Hardy.
In his 93 years he become known by many within the industry, from his small mass-produced designs through to large tall-ships such as the 23m training brig ‘Royalist’ and the 43m Sail Training Ship ‘Lord Nelson’. He was also a life Vice President of the RNLI in recognition of his active involvement at local level in Lymington where he lived, along with being an ambassador for the Jubilee Sailing Trust which allows many thousands of people, including those physically disabled, to enjoy the experience of sailing on a tall ship.
A huge loss to the industry, our thoughts are with his family and his many friends.
If you have children getting a little bored at home, download/print the line drawings below of some of our popular models.
We would love to see their talented work, so take a photo and email to us and we will post on our social media – maybe there is a new budding yacht designer in the family! firstname.lastname@example.org

‘Grey Goose’ is the 24th hull of this popular model and is being handed over to her owners this week. They will take her from Ipswich to her permanent berth in Fowey, Cornwall. (once Storm Ciara passes through!)
Oak interior with horizontal grain, fully spec’d for all year round use, even has air-conditioning!
We welcome them to the Hardy family and wish them many happy years of Hardy ownership.
Last week saw the launch of the latest Hardy 32DS to leave the yard, the 24th of this popular model, which will be handing over to her owners at our Sales Office in Ipswich and initially heading to the south coast UK before crossing the English Channel where she will be based in NW France. Moulding of the next H32DS has begun which will launch at the end of the year.
The latest Hardy to leave the yard in North Walsham is the stunning Hardy 42 ‘Emaris‘. Launched last week in Ipswich she has now undergone full engine trials down the River Orwell and out into the North Sea.
Sporting the new style bonded windows and fixed bathing platform extension to the hull she has certainly been turning a few heads in the area. Her upgraded twin Caterpillar 450hp engines provided an impressive 27kn during trails, together with her Twin Disc gearboxes, EC300 Joystick controls and Dynamic Positioning System, hydraulic bow & stern thrusters she handled like a dream in all scenarios.
She has the standard 3 cabin arrangement with cherry timber interior joinery and all the modern conveniences of home; oven/microwave, dishwasher, heating, Sat TV.
This is the 2nd Hardy 42 for her experienced owner, who eagerly awaits delivery of this beautiful motor yacht at the end of the month.
