The latest Hardy to leave the yard in North Walsham is the stunning Hardy 42 ‘Emaris‘. Launched last week in Ipswich she has now undergone full engine trials on the River Orwell in Suffolk.
Sporting the new style bonded windows and fixed bathing platform extension to the hull she has certainly been turning a few heads in the area. Her upgraded twin Caterpillar 450hp engines provided an impressive 27kn during trails, together with her Twin Disc gearboxes, EC300 Joystick controls and Dynamic Positioning System, hydraulic bow & stern thrusters she handled like a dream in all scenarios.
She has the standard 3 cabin arrangement with cherry timber interior joinery and all the modern conveniences of home; oven/microwave, dishwasher, heating, Sat TV.
This is the 2nd Hardy 42 for her experienced owner, who eagerly awaits delivery of this beautiful motor yacht at the end of the month.
Windboats Marine Ltd, owner and builder of Hardy Motor Yachts based in North Walsham, Norfolk, is pleased to announce that they have been short-listed in the North Norfolk Business Awards 2019 for the Young People & Skills category.
The awards night at Gresham’s School, Holt, on Thursday, February 21, will again be hosted by Chris Sargisson, Chief Executive of Norfolk Chamber of Commerce.
“The inaugural awards were very impressive, and based on the quality of the entries I’m sure the 2019 event will be even better,” said Mr Sargisson.
“I know it was a tough job whittling down the entries and drawing up these shortlists. I suspect the judges are going to find it even harder to select the winners.”
It has been a busy few months in North Walsham, 2 new Hardy 32DS’s have been completed and handed over to their happy owners, we have started the next Hardy 42 and the NEW Hardy 52DS with optional flybridge! With the recent new sales at the Southampton Boat Show and building the 2 Gunfleet 58 luxury sailing yachts plus a Trusty 28, the Windboats team has their work cut out for the next 12 months which is a great position to be in.
Here are some photos of progress to date on the Hardy builds:
Both Hardy 32DS’s were completed this summer and transported to Ipswich for launch and sea trials.
Our latest Hardy 42 was released from the mould and work is progressing on the deck and superstructure, our 30th hull of this popular model.
Likewise our NEW Hardy 52DS with optional flybridge was born! An exciting project and we can’t wait to see her as she progresses.
